Job Description :

• We at Fidelity Information Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. (FIS Global) looking for Sr. Oracle DBA & SQL DBA Professionals for Sr. Software Engineer Position.

Mode of Hire : Permanent Job with a World Leading IT Company (Banking Domain) - Fidelity Information Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. (FIS Global) in Bangalore.

Nature of work : 12x5 support for production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Participate in production on-call on rotational basis (12x5 supports for production environment) for all Oracle database environments to include problem identification, reporting, tracking, analysis, and resolution.

• Research and analyze all assigned anomalies - record, track and log all findings and recommendations.

• Establish, maintain, and monitor database security, roles, user-role assignments, and individual logins per company security policies and procedures.

• Assist project teams in setting up and testing development, test, and production environments.

• Research, analyze, and recommend patches, tools, and/or database upgrades to resolve issues and add features/functionality.

• Architect, design, and implement replication and/or data synchronization.

• Assist project teams in designing efficient data access methods and procedures, including data structures (physical data modeling), SQL techniques, and use of database tools/utilities.

• Provide technical leadership to the DBA team by assisting junior team members and sharing knowledge and research of tools/techniques, and Oracle features.

• Serve as team liaison to project managers for database administration and system administration services

• Customer consultation for requirements gathering, DBMS infrastructure creation and support, problem determination.

• Working experience on performance tuning.

• Monitor database performance and space utilization – investigate and resolve reported issues.

ORACLE -

• Working with Oracle support (Service Request) on critical issues.

• Install, configure Oracle 10g/9i/8x databases and apply oracle patches on unix platforms for dev/test/uat/prod environments.

• Capacity planning and Space management including added data files and Database growth in production box.

• Setup refresh/replication process using materialized views and resolving the issues on refresh failures.

• Exposure to Oracle streams and Golden Gate replication.

• Experience on RAC.

• Having exposure to AWR/ADDM and other tuning advisors.

• Exposure to system programming (Shell, SQL and PL/SQL) to automate database pickup, monitoring and other DBA functions and Basic performance tuning of SQL.

• PL/SQL Stored Procedure development experience

• Establish, maintain, and monitor database backups and DRP sites, Configure and Implement Recovery Manager (RMAN).

SQL Server –

• Install, configure SQL Server 2005/2008 and apply required patches.

• Experience on Clustering.

• Experience on DTS packages and SSIS.

• Experience on log shipping.

• Backup techniques.
