MSSQL DBA Advisor

Location: Bangalore

Job Description

·         5-8 years’ experience in MSSQL database administration in production environments.

·         Exposure to Financial domain in the capacity of a production support DBA. Exposure to processes, exigencies and the level of criticality of a financial/banking infrastructure.

·         Capable to perform the following Database Administration tasks independently in MSSQL 2000, 2005, 2008, Analysis services and Reporting services.

·         Installation of MSSQL 2000, 2005, 2008, Analysis services and Reporting services.

·         Capable to perform MSSQL database setup, database upgrades, space management, backup & recovery.

·         Diagnose and resolve performance issues, connectivity/security issues and database corruptions in a critical production environment.

·         Setup and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions in MSSQL using Log shipping, Mirroring, Replication and Clustering.

·         Familiar in Windows system administration relevant to MSSQL database management.

·         Experience in supporting multiple SQL Server installations on a single box and very large MSSQL databases.

·         Experience in troubleshooting Log shipping, Mirroring, Replication and Clustering problems.

·         Excellent level of both spoken and written English.

Desirable
           

·         Knowledge in Linux, BMC SQL BackTrack, SQL LiteSpeed and BMC Patrol

·         ITIL Process
